Chesster is the first mobile application that becomes your chess eBooks into interactive books. Simply import a book in ePub format and Chesster will create a new and fully interactive eBook. It allows to navigate through every movement, and also lets you see a game in automatic mode. This tool is specially useful to learn opening books and commented games, because it can only detect full games from the beginning. Most of the eBooks included in the EDAMI opening package (spanish) are correctly converted without the need of any changes. At startup Chesster pre-installs some book samples from Everyman Chess publisher. It is not suitable to study endings or tactics, because those diagrams usually start from a random position. Chesster can only detect movements in eBooks with digital format, not those ePubs generated from PDFs based on photocopies. The application divides the screen in two zones, one for the eBook and the other one for the chessboard and controls. You can import your non-DRM ePub files directly, or you can previously convert your PDF eBooks to ePub with Calibre tool (http://calibre-ebook.com/). Optionally, you can enhance the output with some ePub editor like Sigil (https://code.google.com/p/sigil/), before importing it to Chesster. You can also open directly your eBooks converted to Chesster format, which is much faster. The movements that Chesster can detect are those written in bold in algebraic notation, and it is capable to analyze movements written in different languages (spanish, english, french, italian and german). The movements' language can be selected for every eBook.Although conversion usually takes a few seconds for most of the eBooks, it can take longer for books with big size. Please be patient. Once converted, you can open it every time you want very quickly.NOTE: This tool has been tested in several phones and tablets, but it may have some incompatibility with some particular devices. It has also been tested with a lot of different eBooks, primarily in spanish and english, but the conversion made by Calibre is not always readable. Keywords: chess, ebook, pdf, ePub, board, study, learning, opening, book
