The Tarragona 24 hrs. application, available for free in Catalan, Spanish, English French, German and Russian, lets tourists and citizens access information about tourism, leisure, culture, commerce and gastronomy, amongst others, through their mobile phones. The application user can benefit from the geo-location system for museums and monuments, services, accommodation, restaurants, beaches, etc. The application geo-locates the user and sets out the route in order to get to the chosen place, whether by car or on foot. The user can share the places of interest on Facebook and Twitter. And also give them a positive vote through the Wup! system, a way to get recommendations from other users. There is also the option to add it to your favourites. Moreover, you can also access the Roman, Medieval, Modernist and the first Tarraco Christians’ routes. For each one you can get the list of the places it covers, with the location, how to get their on foot or by car and other interesting data about these places. The application also contains a section about promotions and the user can receive them according to their favourite categories. You are given the route to get to the establishment that offers the promotion and you can share it on the social networks. The calendar section of the application allows you to access the agenda of events that can be shared on the Twitter and Facebook social networks.
